Microdevario kubotai

Microdevario kubotai is a miniature freshwater fish from the carp family, native to Myanmar waters. It is easily recognizable by its slender body about 2 cm long and distinctive coloration: a silver-golden background with a row of dark spots, and fins with a bluish-green sheen; under certain lighting, a thin glowing stripe appears along the body. Due to its modest size and delicate behavior, this fish is ideal for nano aquariums and peaceful species groups. It is best kept in a school of 8–10 individuals — in groups, the fish feel more confident, exhibit natural behavior, and look more attractive. The species prefers soft, slightly acidic water (pH 6.0–7.0, GH 4–12) and a temperature of 22–26°C; maintaining stable parameters and avoiding sudden changes is important. Microdevarios are peaceful and get along well with other small, calm inhabitants — for example, rasboras, small shrimps, or Corydoras catfish.
